Quarks
V, that is a lot coming from you, as well as david. Both of you inspired me to get deeper into the strap collecting hobby, especially with all the threads on various straps types. I remember I wasnt too big on them but when I started getting into them, I cant seem to stop. Man, this is just getting worse, isn't it?

Quarks
Here ya go: Strapmasters Tobacco Croc Strap on 187 - check out the grain - I simply love it and very hard to come across such quality. I have one made by Simona for 44mm PAMs, vintage dark brown croc; large grain as well. Will arrive in about 3 weeks' time. I think this croc strap gave my 187 a new look, very classy in a way. Some teasers of my 112 on XaMAS Tan
Pre V
Can't believe I missed out this thread! The Strapmasters Croc is unbelievably well-made and that buckle is awesome! Definitely gives the 187 a different look. And...the infamous Xa Mas Vintage Tan...what a drop-dead gorgeous strap! I recently got an Xa Mas Prototype (the one with a slit and cover hiding the holes) and it is not as nice as the conventional one....itching for one now after seeing your solid pics! and that Wojeckti (sp??) strap case is damn nice too. Loving your strap collection!
Quarks
Thanks bro. As u can see what I have up to after yr departure. Yes, I love that croc to bits!!! Absolutely gorgeous. I know that XaMAS prototype strap, how does it wear? comfortable? I reckon it should be. Here is a Strapmaster Lizard Skin Strap I just got. Fits the 207A well... me thinks. It is abit short tho. Pre V
Yeah the Xa Mas prototype is chunky...as for comfort wise, I would say that Greg's strap is a tat more comfy. Damn nice 207! ttyl

Usil
I went to the Strapmaster web site and checked out their croc straps and they did not have that strap. Plus, the pictures of the other croc straps look glossy and plasticky. Nothing like the look of your great strap. Did you have a better picture to select from because these do not look too good? I have already been burned once on poor quality croc straps and find the pictures hard to tell about the quality. deltatahoe
@ usil, i totally agree re: the pictures on strapmasters site -- those are the crappiest looking expensive straps i've ever seen. their pictures just plain suck. if you're looking for good quality alligator straps, i have a black alligator strap (w/ black stitching) from watch boys on my 183, and it is good value at $99. you can find him at paneristi here or on ebay here. i would be curious to hear quarks' response to your question, so also consider this post a BUMP dt I we to the Strapmaster web site and checked out their croc straps and they did not have that strap. Usil
delta...: Thanks for the link. Both were to the same location. I checked them out and the pictures just look too fake. I don't know if they don't know how to photograph them or if what. I am always checking out owners strap purchases because then I can get a good look at it as it really is. deltatahoe
@usil, i updated the link to the watch boys ebay store (sorry about that); i think the picture from their site that best captures their straps is the one i've linked to below. however, even this one is still a bit off -- my strap has better grain to it, and is a bit shinier than the strap in the picture (in a good kind of way)... also, not sure if you saw flavor flav's posting about his 183g here, but the BWB (jose tan) gator strap he has on there looks pretty nice, although i couldn't find a similar one with matching stitching on his site (which is here) lastly, i finally got a decent digital camera and am planning on taking some pictures of my reps this weekend; i'll try to remember to post a pic of my 183 here when i take one. dt
