Packard Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Yesterday was the last day of Summer.. Today is the first day of Fall.. Summer is officially over.. Should be "Summer's gone"; not "Summers gone". (It's not gone; it's only moved elsewhere.
vlydog Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Here is one that I remeber from AM radio as a boy.
Nanuq Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 "Summer"? What're you guys talking about? Is that the "S-word" I hear people mention? We got SNOW right above my house and 36 degrees out! YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! Get out the snowshoes and skis!!!
Guest OrenG Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 (edited) Summer may be "gone" but here in Cali were still getting 100+ degree temps, that's 38+C for our euro members. Edited September 22, 2009 by OrenG
ubiquitous Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Yessir... The snow is incoming... We're supposed to see some dusting on the grass tomorrow morning, maybe more. Then, back into the 70's and 80's by the weekend. Our saying here in Denver- If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes...
freddy333 Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 Here is one that I remeber from AM radio as a boy. 1 of the best songs ever written. Thanks for the link.
andreww Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 This is the most depressing time of year for me. I'm a summer person, and I can't stand the long Canadian winter. The weather is still nice in Toronto, but any day now the heat will leave us and not return for another eight months or so. Maybe when I put away my skateboard this year I'll look in to getting a snowboard and maybe enjoy the snow this year

Maybe when I put away my skateboard this year I'll look in to getting a snowboard and maybe enjoy the snow this year today into tomorrow will be some of the hottest day's yet.. the trade winds have died.. and we'll surely be over 100 in the city.. with all the concrete and buildings around.. you mentioned skateboarding .. I notice how that has now changed a lot of a surrounding landscape.. poles blocking access to stairs .. anywhere that an extreme boarder can go is now blocked in some form.. is it that way there andreww? asf Posted September 22, 2009 Report Posted September 22, 2009 It seems like it never left here on the west coast of the mainland. It's 102 degrees here in sourthern California.
