PAMman
I haven't ever posted any pics of my watches on the forum because I am not a great photographer and I hadn't ever mastered the whole photohosting thing. However, I am going to give this a try. My preA1 franken has a genuine preA1 dial, genuine tritium hands, genuine crown, genuine crownguard, CdG striped Swiss ETA 6497-1, Jimmy Fu caseset, non-AR sapphire crystal and a B series caseback (a few B series watches had preA dials so this isn't totally incorrect - if DSN's casebacks were of better quality I would use one of his instead). ubiquitous
That dial really sets this one into a class all it's own. Quite a remarkable piece...
siesta181
Beautiful... and this puts me in a quandry. I have the old accurate EL 001 B series caseback which I was about to use for a contemporary 001 project but I love the look of the old PAms esp with the tritium look. What should I do???? I have the old accurate EL 001 B series caseback which I was about to use for a contemporary 001 project but I love the look of the old PAms esp with the tritium look. What should I do???? That's easy Find a JF case, gen or T48 crown, JF cg (ultimate angus/homer is pretty good too in a pinch) transplant a ofrei 6497-1 ticker in that bad boy and top it off with a FGD marina dial. That's what I'm doing anyway.
