Member X Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 I got this through from Mary and am pleased to say that it was an excellent buying experience - hassle free and pretty quick! I bought it for the other half for her birthday and she is very happy with it, so mission accomplished lol It came extremely well packaged: and the watch itself is great Seamastei LOL Caseback is wrong as it should be Seamaster, but it's not on display so shouldn't be a problem. The blue Omega logo and writing on the dial is accurate to gen, I believe, but I'm not sure if the OMEGA should be joined up or not. How big is it? Everyone knows how big a 44mm PAM lol is so I figured this was a good comparison shot Wristie entirely focused on the watch lol Normal rep lume Long exposure lume There are some flaws - wrong caseback, misspelled clasp engravings (they're all like that apparently), dial markers are about half a degree out (but not visible unless you're really looking for them), and I'm not sure if the bevelled crystal is accurate to gen, but it was a great price and the service was great so I'm very happy indeed
valerian Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Congratulations! I like the design of this Seamaster very much, it's very elegant and if your lady doesn't mind the flaws: good for her! Personally I'd say your sweetheart outshines the watch very much. But that should always be true. Thanks for showing. Val.
JBond Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Hey dude I like this watch I have the same one for men. And I said the lume is good very blue that's nice!
Member X Posted October 12, 2009 Author Report Posted October 12, 2009 I'm confused LoL Thanks for the compliments though, all, I'm very pleased with it. The men's version is on my list, but then so are about 50 other watches! lol
chrgod Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Nice watch. Is is fun to see reviews of unusual replicas, thanks! The clasp with "Seamastei" brings back memories of my very first replica, a 007 Seamaster bought on the streets of Kuala Lumpur in 2002!
chronoluvvv Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 nice pics, i've always liked the blue on white scheme pit about the erroneous case back though p.s. who's Mary ?
Toadtorrent Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 I have the men's version of this one...and it's quite a looker. I was a little surprised as I bought in a package deal...but when it arrived, I was quite impressed by the blue accents. Great choice.
Member X Posted October 13, 2009 Author Report Posted October 13, 2009 Thanks for the compliments all p.s. who's Mary ? Mary is WatchInternational on RWG1.1
suishwash Posted October 13, 2009 Report Posted October 13, 2009 nice piece, looks great on your gf , I agree the caseback is really not necesarilly that important. come to think of it its actually a little funny I wonder how many ordinary people would actually notice even if they saw the caseback
Member X Posted April 6, 2010 Author Report Posted April 6, 2010 Just looking back on some of my old topics and thought I'd update this one! Watch is still going strong, even as a daily wearer Crystal has taken a bit of a battering and got a couple of chips in it (Her - "oh, how did they get there? I've not hit it on anything!" Me - "yes dear..." lol) but the bracelet is still remarkably scratch free and the movement is still sweeping nicely, with only one incident of stopping randomly and restarting, but that was several months ago now. Overall very happy with it. Needs a good clean now so may do that if I can get it off her wrist at the weekend, but apart from that I think it was a good buy
Member X Posted April 7, 2010 Author Report Posted April 7, 2010 21j - although I believe the gen may actually be quartz! LoL
