Stephane
The Rolex DateJust 16013 from 1981. Dear All, This is my first two tone watch. I have never been a fan of yellow gold, but I was looking for one as a dress watch. When I received it, I have been wearing it for a week non-stop. The complete set! A great find again from my buddy at subgmt.com My only other watch which has such a complete set is my 16610. On the wrist Some different angles, some different dial colours Between the lugs The bracelet A couple more Conclusion I’m too young to wear this kind of watch in my opinion. I should have to wait for another 15 years to match it. I like it very much, but as usual, I can’t keep a watch in a box and never wear it. So, it is now traded for a tritium explorer II from 1995! Thanks for looking and reading. Cheers Stephane
redwatch
Good trade Stephane! I am with you.....not a huge fan of TT myself. Great pics though and thanks for sharing!
gplracer
Stephane I never tire of looking at your watches. I like stainless as well but I do like the two tone sub with the blue dial. Have you ever considered one of those?

Thanks for the nice words! Stephane I never tire of looking at your watches. I like stainless as well but I do like the two tone sub with the blue dial. Have you ever considered one of those? Well, not yet. I think gold isn't my thing and to be honest, blue dial neither Very nice Stephane! One gen traded for another, can't go wrong with that!Cheers,JJ That indeed the way I'm going these days: not spending a dime more, only trading and selling Explorer II: And white dial/tritium ...serviced... I hope I'll like it for a while
freddy333
I got my 1st gen Rolex in the early 80s & it was the same watch - a 16013 with gold dial. TT is no longer my taste, but a great set & nice find, Stephane.

alligoat
Beautiful watch and great pics, Stephane. Here in Texas, the TT DJ's are de rigueur. Last weekend at a Wal-Mart store in Uvalde, Texas, I saw a young hunter wearing a TT DJ, it went well w/ his camo! He looked to be about 35-40 to me. I do like my TT frankenjust for dress occasions, but I must admit, it doesn't get alot of wrist time. But you made a good trade for a white Explorer II- a very nice no bling sportsman's type of watch! Thanks for sharing. And look forward to seeing the EXP II when you get it. Stephane
Thanks Alligoat! Maybe it's just me wanting to stay young and think that I will if I do not wear yellow gold

Stephane
Well, in the end, I didn't trade it for an Explorer II. So far, I still have the watch here but I'm wanting to see it go to a better home. So if anybody is interrested in buying it, drop me a PM. Cheers Stephane
