Finepics Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Seeing as how there is a rash of new PAM's appearing how about this one? Would sure like to have this on my wrist just like Yves Saint Laurent!!! Any makers want to take this on board I have more photos with a stripped down view (those caseback screws go all the way through the case to the bezel!!!).
robertk Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 Beautiful vintage piece. I could go for that.
Finepics Posted August 31, 2006 Author Report Posted August 31, 2006 And the case is fairly simple so would not be difficult to make this one. I guess the movt might have to be an ETA 6497 or an auto of somekind but a great project for any of us lucky enough to source the Angelus!!!
V Posted August 31, 2006 Report Posted August 31, 2006 I like it MArk.. I'm in if this one comes out.. BUT the genuine size is around 63mm I think (or something VERY BIG) so I guess it's a no go for mass production.

Wow - will have to start with the steroids before strapping it on!! C'mon you dealers - who is bold enough to commission this baby?
olreon Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 hello, @finepics i talked with jos about the eigiziano. he told me that rep makers are afraid of making watches that are bigger then 40-44mm. this one is a very nice pice, i got also a couple of pics, where the eigiziano is reassambled. so, if it would come to a run i could also help with pics. best wishes olreon
dadog13 Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 i would be definitely in...this 47mm kids watch are not enough big for me....give me the 60mm, please!
madasboot Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Are you sure you would want one of these monsters attached to your wrist? M.
Faber Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 i would want one of this...and let the 63 mm come to my wrist...

I say bring it on!! If it's good enough for YSL (and he aint no bigger than me) then it's good enough for me!!!!

Watchmeister Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 Alternatively, you could simply buy those Panerai wallclocks offered on ebay and add a few screws to the top and a belt for a strap. You guys are nuts.
olreon Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 hello, i think if rep makers would produce a accurate eigiziano they also would sell it very well. i think that every pam rep collector wants to add the eigiziano to his collection, and also the gen pam collectors best wishes olreon

Although I am wondering about Kruzers suggestion - not so mad at all
leitztozeiss Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 BUT the genuine size is around 63mm I think (or something VERY BIG) so I guess it's a no go for mass production. Aah, but wouldn't the larger case size open up the opportunity to install other 8-day pocket watch movements, such as the more plentiful Walthams?? It would be a solid case back anyway, so who cares what the movement looks like - as long as it fits and gives you 8 days!! Hmmm.

Finepics Posted September 1, 2006 Author Report Posted September 1, 2006 Isn't though? I have those sometimes!! And that freaks me out dude cos I keep thinking you are a cat! (your avatar man!!)
Guest Sql_pl Posted September 1, 2006 Report Posted September 1, 2006 I believe it was Ralph Lauren actually, not YSL
Finepics Posted September 1, 2006 Author Report Posted September 1, 2006 I believe it was Ralph Lauren actually, not YSL Oh dammit - there I go again!!! You are absolutley right - now where did I put that spliff!!!
John Paul Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 This watch is in the October 2006 issue of InSync magazine. The article is about aluminium watches in general and begins on page 122 with the picture of the Radiomir on page 124. Apparently, some of these watches made for the Egyptian Navy and other navies in the Mediterranean were made out of aluminium. According to the article the diameter is 60mm, and thickness is 19mm thick. I'd love to see one of these monsters made. With an aluminium case they would be very light. JP
baltic Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 63mm bejeesus!? Don't think that would fit under my suit sleeve never mind the shirt!!!
dadog13 Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 c'mon dealers make this one...i cannot wear anymore the 44mm pams...now i wear only the 47mm ones...and already ordered a 49mm Breitling...
Watchmeister Posted September 27, 2006 Report Posted September 27, 2006 I bet with a little reworking under that case back you could fit in two Angelus movements and get a 16 day watch.
