jchurch
Looks like a genuine one to me. but it is awfully hard to be sure.
fakemaster
Says he's got all the paperwork. It does seem to have the classic date shift that the gens suffer from. Wonder if the rep makers will ever get that right.
time4me
I spotted that one too. But then I was thinking that (from what I've read here) that the higher end rep of this watch is very, very good......so maybe buy the rep and use the other $1200+ on another nice used gen that harder to rep and/or several other good reps(?). jchurch
I agree on the being hard to spot. Here are some of my SOSF on rubber. Mine is in blue instead of the black like the one on the bay but I would imagine you can get a black one also. Mine doesn't have the lume on the ring around the dial (I don't know what that's called) like the one in the photo but I suspect that was different versions and years and I am sure any of the modders who lume watches could hook that up if it was needed. I bought mine second hand off here so I don't know what version or dealer it came from. If you want to see super large versions of these just click on the photo. By-Tor
The black one is the most difficult to tell. But this looks gen as they have never produced the "ultimate" SFSO rep with the triangle seconds hand.
jchurch
Looks like he has the serial number also listed. I don't have mine with me so I can't say what my serial number was I am pretty sure the genuine ones should be easy to verify with a dealer though. mas6002mi
thanks for the reply guys, only thing I noticed was the end of the 'S' on the 'S'uperocean. Isn't it supposed to be curved a little???? this one appears to be a straight line.......!

plaifender
There is supposed to be a slight curve in it. The gen can be found with both a curved S and a straight S. In 2008 Breitling also introduced several versions of the SOSF xl with arrow pointed seconds hand. All versions are correct.. This looks gen to me.. especially if it comes with papers. That would explain why I didn't notice the curve while I was looking at the AD.
