vandal.tbh Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) Mine just arrived today. Same issue with the bezel screws, but on mine it's only the ones at the 3 and 9 o'clock. It doesn't jump out at you but if you're looking you see it. They do turn though, so it was an easy fix to just line them up. Barely had to turn them at all. I do have some other complaints, but overall, they're minor. It's such a cool looking watch. I'll write a full review tomorrow with some close up photos. Edited February 23, 2012 by vandal.tbh
cougar1 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 Looking forward to the review Vandal.tbh, where is it? .....joking! Glad you like the watch!
Jkay Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 My order was sat on for 5 days after photo approval, then shipped so I'm still empty handed.
cougar1 Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 That's odd, usually they can't wait to get them out the door after approval?, are EMS striking or just backlogged after CNY so they couldn't get it posted or something?
Jkay Posted February 23, 2012 Report Posted February 23, 2012 It doesn't matter that much to me. I expect a huge jam after CNY whatever some people say about it only being "two weeks".
cougar1 Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 yeah the whole CNY thing takes a lot longer after the holiday ends to tidy up the postal delays, some are lucky and get theirs through in good time but always a chance of massive backlogs! You'll get it soon enough, let us know what you think when you do!
vandal.tbh Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Looking forward to the review Vandal.tbh, where is it? .....joking! Glad you like the watch! Well my wife is at a conference in Vegas for the week (lucky!), so I've had the "Mr. Mom" duties. So unfortunately I've been too busy to write the review, but it's coming. Hopefully early next week. Here's a wrist shot until then: 1
Jkay Posted February 24, 2012 Report Posted February 24, 2012 Oh my God. I am such a dumbass. I just realized that the piece I wanted was the Chrono 500M .. not the 3-handed model. LOL !! I guess I'll be selling it on when it arrives tomorrow. Here's the Chrono at TrustyTime http://player.vimeo.com/video/28653964

kyle007 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 I recieved my pre-owned A21J watch. Really great watch for the value. Just want to switch the front glass to a non-cyclops sapphire one and relume the marks. Though, really don't know how to find such capable service. I may post more pics, but here is a qucik one.
Jkay Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 You will probably want to talk to Vacuum. He can do the things you ask, but to warn you ... if you remove the cyclops you may have to reapply the AR coating to the crystal as well.
kyle007 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Thanks for the advise, but shipping costs wouldn't not worth it i guess, so i should find a local service... Btw another shot. Edited February 27, 2012 by kyle007
Jkay Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 If you tell us which Country, it would be easier to give you advice.
vandal.tbh Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 i know, i'd rather it not have the cyclopes as well. but that's how the gen is so i guess there's not much option unless you want a pricey mod...
Bertini4u Posted February 28, 2012 Report Posted February 28, 2012 Man that is such a clean looking watch!! I think I am going to have to pick one up!!

Yeah i know, it'll cost me almost more than i paid for the watch, sapphire glass,AR etc... Hence i give up this idea. Today my first full day with the watch. I really love the AR, consider the price it's great! And for an A21J movement, i think 4sec. is just badass! Btw here is a pic of the gen mod, removed cyclopes. It's way better IMHO... Jkay Posted March 7, 2012 Report Posted March 7, 2012 So I could not stand looking at it anymore. No AR? Terrible lume? I sent it to Vac for the full treatment. This is not a cheap watch, and the factory is not doing right by us on this piece.
Ebrin Posted March 11, 2012 Report Posted March 11, 2012 Wow, really nice watch. I think i will get one
iori_del Posted September 6, 2012 Report Posted September 6, 2012 seems like there is no more love as the Ceramic bezel is out..
Mike1212 Posted October 12, 2012 Report Posted October 12, 2012 Is there a ceramic replacement yet? Sent from my cm_tenderloin using Tapatalk 2
davesteel Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 this is a GREAT rep... I would add three "differences" from the gen that I didn't see in the review -- the "caliber 5" is a little more red than the correct orange; the TAG part of the TAG Heuer logo is fatter on the gen; and the 12,3,6,9 lume are a little too square, the gen are more triangular and pointed. DS
