I guess you must live in the "other part" of California. In the Bay Area it's raining, and it plans on doing so through Saturday.

Welcome aboard. :)

Heh, yep. Lately I've been spending 75% of my time in the Bay, and 25% in the "other part"... and I'd prefer that ratio to be reversed. :)

Dude, regardless of what the weather is like, I would NEVER trade SF Bay Area for SoCal.

I go on trips all the time, but every time I come back home and either fly over or come across the Golden Gate or the Bay Bridge and see that San Francisco skyline, I KNOW WHY I PAY The exorbitant rent I pay to live here, and I'm still happy to do so.

I don't think I'd want to live anywhere else. Sure I'd like to have a vacation home somewhere else (like Victoria, BC), but there's nothing like my home town.

Actually, I'd say it's pretty hard to beat the weather in the Bay Area. Sure So Cal does beat it, but not many other places in the country, or even the world, do. That said... I'd trade the SF Bay Area for SoCal in a heart beat for many other reasons than weather... In fact I'd trade the Bay Area for many other places in the country where the weather is worse but the sanity level is so much higher. But, hey, that's just one Bay Area native's opinion.
