Friedhelm
Hello friends, is it really true, that no dealer sells the Navitimer with 6-9-12 subdials in Two-Tone anymore? I asked some dealers , because the watch still in their web-shops, but they told me that the 6-9-12 in TwoTone no more available. Do anynody knows one, who has this watch in stock? If possible with black or white dial and markers (I don't like the Numbers). Thanks for help Friedhelm Edited February 28, 2010 by Friedhelm
By-Tor
Andreww probably remembers better but I recall there has never been a decent TT rep of the 6-9-12 version. Maybe they made them with the old slow beat 7750 but that rep was way inferior. What's wrong with the new one?
Friedhelm
Hi By-Tor, Don't think so, because Andreww has one with white dial and 28.800 movement in the shop. My problem is the sunken datawheel. I love the new version too and I wear it very often (workdays "Skyland" Weekend with better dress "Navitimer") Is it the exposure of your photo, or are the subdials real white ? Thanks Friedhelm
By-Tor
It's been quite a while since I owned that but I recall the subdials were white. Here is more about this watch.
coolfire
Always been fascinated with the gen though. The rep versions made me stay away...
andreww
By-Tor, for a while there was a TT version of the old Navitimer available. It ia actually a good platform to modify, as you can swap in a Skyland movement (gives you the proper date font), and a genuine dial (Without having to shave it down), and of course AR. This will give you a very accurate franken. The Series Speciale is a decent base as well, but you are stuck with the fighter's caseback, which is of course wrong. The OP can check King's site, as she still has them listed.

therooster
Hey thanks guys, it was sad to let it go (it's found a new home in Canada). But I had a great time modding it, and as you said, this model is a very good starting point.

andreww
Wow, Andreww, exactly that kind of franken is what I need. if anyone sells a watch like this, please give me a sign !!! Friedhelm You don't see them that often because not many people modded them. Which I find kind of odd seeing as its not that hard to do, and given how many people spend money to mod Super Avengers. All the parts are available, seems like there would be more people doing them!
