A great watch from a "mysterious collector" This one has a very good dial and a very crisp datefont... Datemagnification is perfect... Lasercrown on the Safir is not to spot with normal eyes... Crownguards are very good from Factory... The Dial glows fantastic in the dark... the bracelet is very nice,accurate SEL`s and hollowmidlink,clasp is great... I installed a gen Tube and crown.. Besides, where else can you get a laser etched crown showing the S as it came from being serviced by a Rolex Service Center? Congrats on your purchase. It is very, very nice.

I have my MBW, but the datewheel will be replaced - too bold. As soon as the mods are done, I will post some pics.

Rg tribal strangely the 1B is the much better Rep ....... i think its the answer to the "who has the best sub?" question at the moment but price wise joshs classic sub is the winner right now (but you have to replace the insert) Frank

The 1B rehaut isn't as deep as the genuine. And so even though the 1B has alot of the details right, the 1A is actually the better watch to use as a base for modding. But, the 1A requires alot of work. It'll need a new dial, new date wheel overlay, new date magnifier (a slightly weaker one), crown guard work on both the inside and outsides, and a hollow midlink bracelet. All this is in addition to the usual suspects: gen crown and tube, gen insert, and dial and hands relume. So, all said and done, you're looking at alot of work and money to get the 1A to where it needs to be. I see the 1B as being inferior because you just can't fix the shallow rehaut and that's an important, eye-catching detail. My $0.02.
