CaptainJack
Hello watcher, I'm getting ready to have my V3 modded with gen dial, bezel assembly, crystal and gasket, crown and tube. Took forever to get all the parts, but got it done. The one part that was a concern to me was the date wheel. I was thinking that my only option was a BK overlay or keeping the WM9 piece, but it sounds like you came up with a third option. But just to be clear, your case is a V2? How would the DW you used fit in the V3 with the ETA movement? I'd hate to buy the thing and have it not work with my build; or worse yet, cause problems with the movement. Any thoughts? Thanks, Jack It was not easy to do because of the thickness. My watch started life as a V3 and as such comes with a thick brass retainng ring for the movement which has the gen dial bonded to it. There is more room beneath the dial than there would be with a little spacer ring like normally used on eta movements. Actually looking back through my buying list, the DW is not gen. It came from Wholesaleoutlet as an aftermarket 3135 DW but it is much better printed than the WM9 DW. Sorry about that!
scottosaurus
That must have taken a lot of work. Very impressive, watcher!
d-rock
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L !!! That looks GREAT!!! Now if BK would only finish mine I'd be able to join the class for show and tell. Congrats on a job well done and on ONE AWESOME LOOKING 16610.

Thanks, Jack Bk's current overlay is very good and a little better that it was when I built the V2 franken. I have compared it to my gen Ceramic Sub and the DW's are identical now. The only difference really between the V2 and V3 is the slightly higher crown position of the V3 and the slightly deeper lugs of the V3.
