freddy333 Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 It took nearly 4 minutes from the time I clicked the Start New Topic button until the edit screen appeared. traceroute looks normal & I am not experiencing slow response times from any other site, so I think the problem is at the server end (or thereabouts).
freddy333 Posted June 28, 2010 Author Report Posted June 28, 2010 Apparently, the system is also generating duplicate postings. Houston, I think we have a problem.
TwoTone Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Freddy, every day at around 5:00PM Pacific Standard Time US [-7 GMT] the forum runs a back-up... It's prime RWG time for me personally, so I see it daily...
fakemaster Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 This is the time of day to run a backup. No one is ever posting during these times.
Ronin Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 This is the time of day to run a backup. No one is ever posting during these times. You mean the time of your post ^^^^^? I would agree, only us night owls in North/South America, Asia are up, or super early birds in EU. If you meant Midnight GMT, then I would disagree, as this is 8PM, 7PM, 6PM, 5PM, across North/South America and thus the current moaning and groaning...
OSRep Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah thats what it isssssss! Yeah at around 12am (UK local time) I notice it takes ages to get on to RWG! But 12 am's ok for me.......
mastrmindalliance Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 That makes sense, will make a note of it. Funny it's right on knock-off time for me, so I get it regularly too (but i understand it being the path of least resistance). Keep up the great work admins and thanks!

fakemaster Posted June 28, 2010 Report Posted June 28, 2010 When I made my post. It is a ghost town at that time
