HauteHippie
My new pride and joy, also known as "Oh lord what have I done!" I couldn't be more pleased with her.... Any ideas?
gtanak
OMG you got so ripped off! What kind of rep is that, they even blurred out the serial number.. Poor chief. Send it o'er and i'll send you a nice Canal rep with legible serial numbers. Jokes aside, I'm guessing... a gen sub.
HauteHippie
Hmmm.... could be. Any other guesses?
rolexmaniac88
Well, first off, judging by the sticker, it is vintage. Juding by the size between the lugs and form in general, my guess would be sea dweller or submariner. The A starter serial number puzzle me however. I can't go any further! Tell us what is this new toy you got there !
mjmj
I reckon its from 1999/ 2000 (A serial no.). As to what it is I dont know.

Guest Sql_pl
Yup, it has to be a 16520. Lugs and bezel give it away! Now let's see some pics of the whole watch!

HauteHippie
There's a plastic bezel protector in place here:
slickdick
Man oh man... there's no getting anything past you guys. Here I thought I had the bezel sufficiently hidden!! More to come! Nice! Doesn't look like itsc genuine case, or is it? Where dit you eventually source this case?
HauteHippie
Nice! Doesn't look like itsc genuine case, or is it? Where dit you eventually source this case? U and A cases do look different than the earlier production models. Most notably, they had the notches on the underside of the pushers, and the lugs turned down a bit more. And of course the CG shapes just varied all over the place.

MBW had distinct signature: And another genuine case (probably a U): Anyways congrats!
HauteHippie
Hmmm, exhibition case back... I like it. I wonder where I could find one that fits the case?
wiesn089
There's a German watchmaker who sells them on ebay. If you send him an email he'll probably give you a discount. They are very well made, he also makes them for speedies and other watches.
stilty
Very nice! My guess was a daytona. the caseback pic is a dead giveaway. the brushed finish pretty much extends across the caseback to the teeth. here is where you can get the casebacks. Very good quality. http://www.thomaspreik.de/ look forward to seeing more pics! Cheers!
HauteHippie
Thanks, T! Pricey, but tempting. Oh, and, the 1655 is looking great!
HauteHippie
And another genuine case (probably a U): Anyways congrats! Not sure that's a U. I think it's earlier. The notches look pretty shallow and the tips of the lugs look fatter, like the older style.
