Crazy question: any record of a YM bezel being transplanted on to a Sub? The relieved numbers are interesting to my eye.

If you look on ebay you can get inserts that look like a yachtmaster bezel... you can do whatever you like, its up to you. I have personally never seen anyone do this but it might make for an interesting result.

Works. Outer bezel ring are the same on Yachtmaster SS/Pt and Submariner Date SS.

I'm with chefcook on this, it works. I did glue the insert in to the bezel though.

The 3D effect of the bezel was definitely one of my favorite aspects of the YM I just had a thought, and wondered, to keep the finished project more in line with a Sub's appearance, rather than a YM, how about using some enamel paint to fill the recesses, and then wipe the excess paint from the numbers...
