slied013
Since the Noobfactory stopped production of their GMT Master II 16710 (and therefore BK doesn't have any chance to mod one) I am looking for the second best. Who can deliver that one? Or has every forumdealer the same watch?
By-Tor
The "Retro" version is the second best, imho. Others have the cyclops/date positioned too right on the crystal/dial. http://www.1-pc8838.com/rlgs10007-retro-edition-master-blackred-bezel-28362-p-3425.html It's pretty well built rep. Of course it has flaws but at the moment there isn't any better. Too bad the Noob version is gone. Good luck!
Rolexious
I LOVE my GMT 2 masters from Kingwatch-----yes I know it's a dangerous movement option but it looks great with the correct hand stack. I set mine once when I got them and NEVER change the GMT hand again. ROLEX-ROLEX-444-GMT ETA 2836-2 MOVEMENT WITH SAPPHIRE ADJUST HOUR....
highoeyazmuhudee
whats wrong with adjusting the gmt hand? isnt it the independently adjustable hour hand thats problematic?
Rolexious
Correct---I mispoke. It is the hour hand that jumps (shows you that I don't set it much). I have one of my GMT's with the GMT hand set in my (Pacific) time zone and the other on eastern US time. So far so good.
By-Tor
If you want your GMT to last, don't ever adjust the jumping hour hand. Never. Only set time from the hack position. There is a fork that wears out, and when it does your whole movement is trashable. There are no spare parts and there never will be. Been there, done that. It might last if you leave that setting alone for good.
Ronin
I seem to recall Zigmeister and By-Tor had a good write up on this... I can't seem to find it though...
