E-Mail notification not working?

Hi there,

from yesterday evening on I haven't received any e-mail notifications, although there were new personal messages.

Anyone else having that problem?

Just logged on and realised I had the same issue.

Also I cant send PMs to anyone, I select the New option but I get a little thin narrow box about 5mm high and a close X on the left, all I can do is close it

I know Eton ad probs logging on yesterday so I guess there are a few issues

As an aside I have not been able to get on to RG since day before yesterday just get database error

Thomas has been playing with some software updates.

Looks like all aren't playing fair with him!

I'm sure he will chime in here and advise.

Also we are aware of some log in issues.

Considering all the work needed to keep this place up and running, for which I am very grateful , as I am sure we all are!! I have no complaints about this at all I never doubt that the guys that can are doing all they can!!

You wont hear any criticism from me for any issues that arise like this only thanks that I know it will be sorted as soon as it can be

Damn, I paid the mods to jam all your log in attempts never thought about the Blackberry !!!!

These were instructions from "Da Boss" earlier today if any log in problems arose.

It seems to be related to a forum software upgrade I performed earlier today.

Tell anyybody who has problems to clear their browsers cache/temporary files (cookies and file-cache, if they can specify it) and restart the browser. They should then be able to log in.

If this doesn't cure the evils, send a PM to Admin.

PS On a side note, we are all rolling around in laughter in the admin area....one of our team has also been "logged out" ( We are telling him he's been sacked)

All login issues were resolved yesterday, but I was just now made aware of the PM issues. Can you guys please check if you still have problems with your PM system and also check if your notifications are turned on ( http://www.rwgforum.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=core&area=notifications ) as the software updates I installed yesterday seems to have turned of a couple of settings (which also caused the login problems)

I ham having problems with my PMs still

For example, I am trying to contact another member. I am using my compose new in my messenger. But when I try to send I get an error message saying I need to complete fully all the letters in the recipients bar. The name I enter is corect I tried case and non case sensitive etc.

The thing is I can do exactly the same for other members names and the message goes through all OK...

I have still the same issue, I had a few waiting for me when I logged in but no notification....No biggie makes it all the more exciting when I log in
