nomad89 Posted October 29, 2010 Author Report Posted October 29, 2010 Nice. Now we have good pix to compare our reps to!
modelizer Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Yep, that's a gen! And my cup of tea..
alligoat Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 The winding crown is a 24-700- no dots under the crown. That's right for a 1971 watch. Caseback engraving looks unusual in one pic, but I don't know that much about Tudors. Looks like a pretty nice example, certainly in great condition for a 39 year old watch.
Justasgood Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Gen and a great reference to mod your CG's. Notice also the thickness of the caseback and the dots next to the numbers on the bezel. Already saved the photoes for my work to be done on mine.
rosnik Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 IMO: I think bezel appear to be restored..... So I suggest to not take it in count for modding.
lhooq Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 If you can see the sides of the lugs, one of the easiest tells is the position of the lugholes. As far as I know, all of the rep Monte Carlos (NDT, J&W, Yuki, and now DW) have holes that are drilled too low on the lugs. This also makes me wonder how well 380 endlinks will fit on these reps.
