johnnynorway Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 difficult choosing both same design. same price. both quarts Baume & Mercier Hampton 8807 Montblanc Profile 101562 Your advice?
valerian Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 Hi I prefer the Baume&Mercier model, the Montblanc dial is too busy for my taste. They're both fine, I think. Are the reps good? Good luck in choosing. Kind regards Valerian
whoever Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 (edited) Baume&Mercier...no doubt....where did you find them? lady size or men size? good luck with it! (well...actually....just get both of them!!! ) Edited November 7, 2010 by whoever
TeeJay Posted November 7, 2010 Report Posted November 7, 2010 I'd go for the B&M, as the dial appears larger and less cluttered, but both look like really classy watches
Ronin Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 +1 for B&M. I got to talk to one of their VP's at a watch fair at my AD. I really like what they are doing as a company and their price point is actually excellent for a Swiss boutique maker. The MB is too "Mall Fashion" IMHO.
johnnynorway Posted November 8, 2010 Author Report Posted November 8, 2010 Looks like BM is most liked so far. I was talking gen.watch.No replica. They are not available yet
seafoam Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 Baume & Mercier Hampton for me as well. keep i simple. Very nice looking. I think BM has a better/longer reputation if i,m not mistaken.
TeeJay Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 Looks like BM is most liked so far. I was talking gen.watch.No replica. They are not available yet Doesn't matter if it was rep or gen, I'd still vote for the B&M, simply because it's a cleaner design, and the case framing the dial of the MB looks 'too heavy' at the sides, making the dial look cramped and compressed. B&M just looks like a well designed, classy watch
StormTooper4 Posted November 8, 2010 Report Posted November 8, 2010 BM is a much more balanced looking watch.
