I prefer the Baume&Mercier model, the Montblanc dial is too busy for my taste. They're both fine, I think. Are the reps good?

I'd go for the B&M, as the dial appears larger and less cluttered, but both look like really classy watches

+1 for B&M. I got to talk to one of their VP's at a watch fair at my AD. I really like what they are doing as a company and their price point is actually excellent for a Swiss boutique maker. The MB is too "Mall Fashion" IMHO.

Baume & Mercier Hampton for me as well. keep i simple. Very nice looking. I think BM has a better/longer reputation if i,m not mistaken.

Doesn't matter if it was rep or gen, I'd still vote for the B&M, simply because it's a cleaner design, and the case framing the dial of the MB looks 'too heavy' at the sides, making the dial look cramped and compressed. B&M just looks like a well designed, classy watch
