StormTooper4 Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Sometimes I worry too much about the details and forget just how nice our watches can be.
subbiesrock Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 You'd be plenty [censored] if your rubber strap was spelt "Officne Panerai" I'm not yet enough of an OP fanboy to recognize the model number, but this is indeed a fine, fine little wristwatch you have there, yum!
tutima Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 I know exactly what you are saying...
Watchmeister Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 How about all Gen except for Officne and loving it. And yes over the years I have turned down gen movements in order to maintain that elite status. This one frankened out with gen dial and off to a long gone but wonderful RWG member. In pieces but still sitting on the movement, dial and gen hands, crystal and bezel. Someday... And the collection would not be complete without: Officine is for the 25,000 Paneristi's and wannabes. Officne is for a more elite crew. We will all remember Kenji and the wild ride fondly.
Drulee Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 I love it, if anyone has an extra Officne rotor they'd like to sell, PM me
Merlin Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 wonder how "Officne" is spelled in italian language??
PeteM Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 wonder how "Officne" is spelled in italian language?? :D The Italians spell everything with their hands !!! So one little "i" wouldnt be noticed
Watchmeister Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 In Italian it translates to save $6-15k
PeteM Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 In Italian it translates to save $6-15k I culd buy a pair of hand made Italian shoes with that or maybe just the one and save up for the other !!!
StormTooper4 Posted November 21, 2010 Author Report Posted November 21, 2010 Well you learn something new everyday. I thought it was only the 27 and 28's didn't know it was the 63 as well. Is the drilled movement holder a custom job or are they all like that? Looks pretty smooth. Hand made italian shoes, tut tut English Mate!!!! Some Johnny Lobbs or something.
PeteM Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Hand made italian shoes, tut tut English Mate!!!! Some Johnny Lobbs or something. With the Pen from my plates mate no ones & twos would be safe !!!
Watchmeister Posted November 21, 2010 Report Posted November 21, 2010 Honpo did 63,27,28 and 29. All movement rings should have perlage. At least one model does not have drilled circles on the movement ring. Can't remember which is which though.
StormTooper4 Posted November 22, 2010 Author Report Posted November 22, 2010 Well I guess mines not one of those then. I wonder where my Officne originated from constructionwise. One of the mysteries surrounding rep Building I guess, something that's untraceable.
dadog13 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 I've got 3 of those missing "I" reps and they are definitely the best PAM reps ever made!
dluddy Posted November 23, 2010 Report Posted November 23, 2010 Right up there with Polex and Galena Shitnerand in the Rep Hall of Fame
