Anyone try the Movement Service from one of the dealers?

Not sure would trust a rep getting serviced and then making the long trip and trusting it made the journey without something not happening. Worse yet do I trust their "Swiss trained technicians"?

Ziggy, Vac or Domi far before I trust the dealers to get it right. Remember, these are the same guys stating that the Asian 7753 is an exact replica of the ETA version!

I would never send one back to the dealer for service. I would expect that the "Swiss Trained Technicians" are the same teenage girls who assembled the watches in the first place . Their service probably consists of unscrewing the back, spraying it with WD-40 and them possibly a dunk in some light weight oil, turn it over and let it drain, screw the back on and send it back to you, if they do anything at all.

Naaa save you cash and get it done localy or by domi ziggy ect

When I first bought a rep I had it serviced etc by a TD on here and it was the biggest waste of money basically it was a lube job on dirty parts whereas if you go to Domi etc he will replace poorly made parts with ETA parts as well as completely stripping and cleaning etc etc

At least you have tried it. Would be useful if you provided more detail, also to make it known to the trusted dealer that he has been found out.

There seems to be a broad agreement here that they all cheat when it comes to servicing, but surely that is not the case. Also surely there must be trained guys who can do it well and at a very competitive price. The trick is to find the one. And to risk trying the one. And then to have the watch opened and checked to see if the work is done well.

I guess until someone has really done all that we will have to live with speculation.
