Nanuq Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 The annual polar plunge went off without a hitch (or a stitch...of common sense) this past weekend. Air temps were just below zero and over $275,000 was raised for Special Olympics Alaska. WOOT!!!
mjmurphy926 Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Never really understood what drives these crazy bastards to do this Great cause though!
maxman Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 These are some crazy MF's Indeed, but In a very good way. Good for them and there cause.
Nanuq Posted December 20, 2010 Author Report Posted December 20, 2010 Hey a good Norwegian doesn't NEED a reason to jump naked into a lake in winter. Much like a mountaineer: "why did you climb it?" Answer: "because it's there" A crazy viking: "why did you jump in that lake?" Answer: "MORE GROG!!!" Arrrrrrghghghghhhhhhhh!
FxrAndy Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 LOL i may even go for a run tomorrow we have about -10 and 10" of snow
krpster Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Awesome! For those questioning why...don't knock it until you try it. The rush of a roller coaster is nothing compared to a polar dip. Cool shots Nanuq
