JoeyB Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 Does anyone know how to, or if it can be done? The 16710 case I have measures 31mm where the crystal/gasket mounts, and the genuine crystal measures 30.5mm. Is there a way to do this?
alligoat Posted December 20, 2010 Report Posted December 20, 2010 The 16710 I have is from Josh. I doubt it. Josh doesn't sell much of anything that accepts gen parts- maybe a 1680 or a 1665, which would be a PT type of sub/sd watch.
Dizzy Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Pull out the existing crystal and compare/measure. You pretty much will have to just buy the new crystal and try it. Its pretty hit and miss when it comes to gen parts on newer model Rolex reps.
JoeyB Posted December 22, 2010 Author Report Posted December 22, 2010 I was hoping someone had discovered a gasket that took up the space. I've tried a few gaskets I had laying around, modified them, but it interfered with the insert. I guess I'll keep experimenting!
firnatine Posted December 22, 2010 Report Posted December 22, 2010 Puretime or Precioustime I doubt it. Josh doesn't sell much of anything that accepts gen parts- maybe a 1680 or a 1665, which would be a PT type of sub/sd watch.
d-rock Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 How about fitting a gen crystal in a Transformer ?? Can it be done??
