Tropic 17 Alternative?

What would be the best alternative to a Tropic 17 to use for a 6538 since it seems like non-OEMs aren't available? A Tropic 19 since it was used for 6538A? Happy holidays to all you gurus.

I have never researched parts for a 6538, but if Clarks does not have an aftermarket version, I would just peruse ebay, TZ & VRF until you find 1. I see them coming up for sale on a fairly regular basis, so you just have to be patient/persistent.

I echo Freddy here. I had a rough time finding a T-16- they're just not around much. I finally snagged a couple from Sheartime off of ebay in the $75/ea range. In the meantime my watchmaker had fitted an A&S crystal to my 5508 and I'm still using it at this time. I'll eventually swap to the T-16, probably after I get through slimming up the lugs!

Clark's has no listing for the Tropic 16, does list the Tropic 17 but doesn't carry either one. Gary does have the Tropic 19 and it's a beauty.
