nelly Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Does anyone know if the hands from the new Asian 7750b1 28k bph will be directly tranferable across to a Swiss 7750 ? (i.e they have same diameter posts)
nelly Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 No they won't - there was a very recent writeup by our amster The Zigmeisterzumba - he compared hand sizes from old asian, new asian and swiss version of the 7750. Old and Swiss are interchangeable, new one is not. Thanks for the info... In that case does anyone know of a source for replacement 7750B1 's ?
bkdc Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Another option is to buy genuine hands from Ofrei if they're available. Genuine hands will fit swiss ETA 7750 movements if the authentic movement is 7750/1 based.

RWG Technical Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Another option is to buy genuine hands from Ofrei if they're available. Genuine hands will fit swiss ETA 7750 movements if the authentic movement is 7750/1 based. This won't work... The new Asian 7750 does NOT have the same hand sizes as the Swiss 7750, therefore buying hands for a Swiss 7750 is not an option... New Asian 7750 hand sizes, old ones, and swiss was just covered in a recent post I did... RG
bkdc Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 (edited) I meant that you could buy hands for a Swiss 7750 if you're replacing your Asian movement with the Swiss one. Anyway, I need to find The Zigmeister's post about this. Is the size different only for the main hands (hour, minute, second) or is it different with the subdials as well? RWG Technical Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Here is the link 7750 hand sizes... RG
nelly Posted October 4, 2006 Author Report Posted October 4, 2006 Here is the link 7750 hand sizes... RG Thanks RG, that makes things a lot clearer
bkdc Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Does anyone know if this hand size difference applies to the Asian 7753 arrangement versus the Swiss ETA 7753?
watcher Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I'm just about to fit a swiss 7750 in my new SMP chrono but had to order gen hands from Ofrei but the subdial hands are back ordered until mid November. The crystal has been sent for AR coating on the inside and then it should be a great solid daily beater!
mezzanine Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I can't believe how complex all this stuff can be for a noob like myself. I thought I was going to be able to swap my asian 7750 for an ETA should it die on me. Damn.

Spend your money on having The Zigmeister service your Asian movement - then you won't need to be buying new hands. Or a new movement, either. Gosh - I just saved you a pocketful of cash!
robertk Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 That new movement should last if you get it serviced. It's a good movement. check The Zigmeister's comparison posts.
b16a2 Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Does a datewheel from a swiss 7750 fit the new asian 7750, or is that also a different size?
RWG Technical Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Does a datewheel from a swiss 7750 fit the new asian 7750, or is that also a different size? I did not physically install one, but I measured a Swiss 7750 datewheel, and the New Asian one, and they were the same I/D and O/D...and the teeth matched up. Should work... RG
Finepics Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 I installed a genuine ETA wheel into a new asian 7750 - fits fine and works perfect.
