scottosaurus Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Unfortunately I got laid off last week, so I'm trimming my expenses and putting a hold on my collecting hobby until I land a new job. I really love this hobby and I've enjoyed it since I started last summer. In order to not get too carried away, I've promised myself to only buy a new rep every other month. I started in August with a Cartier Tank Francais, then a JLC Master Control in October, and a FM Crazy Colordreams for December. My February watch (PAM 111) is on it's way. I have a whole list of watches I'd love to own, and a watch box with far too many open slots. Here's to getting a new job so I can start collecting again!
asf Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Definitely got to eat before getting new pieces. Good luck to you man!
TeeJay Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 Sorry to hear that, I hope you land on your feet, and are back collecting soon
seafoam Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 You could always sell a couple to get you by . JK. I hear ya brother. Holding back on buying a new watch is truly an exercise in willpower.
prdubis Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 That's a bad news... I hope you will find a new job soon. Maybe you could tell us what you are looking for? Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk
kramerica2 Posted February 6, 2011 Report Posted February 6, 2011 That's life, you never know what to expect. I'm sure things would turn up for the best, as they usually do. About the collection, don't worry about it, it's about the quality and not the quantity anyway...
ta8088 Posted February 7, 2011 Report Posted February 7, 2011 I've been there too. Good luck on the job search something will turn up. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
