rhebusnet Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 A few months ago I was browsing a website and saw some watches where the numbers on the watch face were rotated clockwise about 45 degrees so the 12 was at the 1:30 position. The reason was so that, wearing it on the left hand, if you just glance at the watch, the 12 appears at the top. Now I've tried to find these again without success. Can anyone suggest which make and model I might have been looking at?

rhebusnet Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 Thanks guys,. Yep that's the one I saw. Glad I didn't dream it. I did a search and it's a Vacheron Constantin Novelties Historiques American 1921. I like it but don't know if I'd feel comfortable wearing one.

Novesh reviewed one a few years back, and it looked very good. Details were not exactly accurate, but held up very well in closeup shots.

I call it my "it's not a late as you think" watch because with a casual glance is appears to be a hour later than it really is.

Then it looks exactly right. I think they are designed to be worn like this.
