Sellers going down...

With all the issues many of the sellers are facing with their websites and litigations, is anyone concerned that they will attempt to go after us next? I am a noob in the replica world and maybe this has gone on before but it seems to be getting worse... I know the sellers on the forum are reputable but if the court wants names and addresses, it doesn't matter.

Is there anyone concerned about this out there?

Depends on the country. But for most countries it is not illegal to buy or own them. It is illegal to sell them. So unless you are buying a whole bunch where I suppose they could accuse of intent to distribute it should be no problem. If I remember correctly there are countries in the EU where it is illegal to buy them but someone else can pipe in from the EU.

I am nervous! :( I'm one of those people who never does anything wrong and with my luck, I'll have watch companies going after me...

Isn't there a law about BUYING replica watches?

Don't do it bro! The FBI is probably already monitoring you as the word 'replica' makes all bells go of at the Pentagon. Your computers IP adress is logged. Happened to me also the first time. Bummer!

Plenty of threads on this already. No need to worry. What dealers are you talking about that got busted? In any case, in the U.S. it's not illegal to own or posess replica watches, You can't be prosecuted for anything. You're fine bro. If you're really scared.. it's been nice knowing you! Good luck on those GEN sites!! ;)

Andrew's site is down, Joshua's (he claims upgrade?), and then tswisswatch.com (which actually has a court motion on it)...

Yeah, I'm not going to be on the gen sites... EVER!

Nope. Think about it.. if someone was unaware that they were purchasing a fake "nike" shirt for example.. you think that the buyer could be held legally responsible.

The answer is ALMOST NEVER!

I've been on the site for 4 years and JOsh and andrew have probably changed domain names at least 3 or 4 times since I've been here. They change it up as a precautionary measure. Quite normal for them, since they get 75% of ALL replica sales on the various forums. Josh and Andrew are part of the "Cartel" and are most definitely being targeted by authorities..

the problem is that china does not actively pursue the factories where replica merchandise is made. It's a huge boost to their economy, and despite pressure from corporations.. if the chinese government doesn't feel like doing it.. the corporations basically have to accept it. Its obvously more complicated than that, but in general.. that's what's going on.

The only thing that the rep companies can do is try to crack down on vendors that sell in the streets within the countries where the items are being distributed.. since the "source" in china is untouchable. Once a replica is in your possession who is to say it's a replica? An attorney? Are they going to hire a watch expert to come to your house and compare your beautiful replicas to the real thing? I doubt it.

If you have this much anxiety before you even purchase one, just think about the nervous wreck you are going to be wearing one.

"did they notice my watch is fake? What if they call the police? What if they get a search warrant and find more replica watches in my house, I'll go to jail FOREVER!"

.......and if you order from China.....with that level of Anxiety, you'll be crazy by the time you get your watch! In this hobby of ours, you better have the patience of a Monk and level headed, if not you'll go bunkers! Buying from our Members here is a safe bet, but it's not 100% guaranteed.
