Admittedly there are a few more mods needed if you were being picky/anal but from the gen whether matching or non matching dials the lumed hands should not match the dial lume.... Though the true T pattina is hard to achieve with modern luming techniques though Zig an achieve this ;)

Oh, is that because different substances were used on hands/dial?

On gen, hands were white painted and then lume was applied, that's why hands were lighter than indices.

Not all watches were produced like this, and ones with hands lighter than dial are known as 'non matching'.

Sorry mate but Non matching refers to the dials........Non matching was a consequence of the lume reacting with the dial varnish which occurred on some dials hence why you see an orangey looking vintage lume rather than a creamy looking one...

According to the gurus on risti the non matching and matching followed a rule on the thick and thin numbered dials..but thats another thread..;)
