Looks stunning, congratulations!

In the end you saved a lot of money, plus you have an original 36k El Primero ticking away in there, which imo is a big plus! Unfortunately with Rolex increasing their parts prices over and over again (just look at their bracelets), I don't see many of these getting build anymore...

Back when I built my pair, I spent a total of $9k to complete both. Still $2k less than what a single gen would run. I'll take that any day.

Plus, building them was just so much more fun to do...

+1.... way more fun, and you can spread out the cost. You didn't pay $6k all at once. Makes it a lot easier to do.

i´m desperately looking for a case since for ever... if i had known this.. :-/

...just ripped apart my black one last week as I sold the gen case (with gen case back and bezel) last week...

Hey guys,

do you know if the Rolex Minute Wheel can be used in the El Primero running at 36k bph? Would help to get around the problem of the canon pinion not working with the el primer minute wheel...
