I believe Rolex partnered with another watch company in designing the original He valve that was used in the Comex Sub &, later, in the SD. That other watch company may have been Doxa.

I had never been a rolex fan until I encountered the sea dweller. I respect the watch for its remarkable engineering and abuse-taking powers. It is also generally not guilty of the sins of the submariner which stays on yuppie wrists and never goes into the briney deep.

I dunno about you guys but if I got a 1665 with CGs like that, I'd send it back for a real one. :bangin:
