THXuk
I would go with the steel, and buy an original rubber strap as they are not that expensive. Then you got best of both world.

mm..mm
Where can one purchase the original strap I thought that AP only sold you straps if you have a serial number
donerix
Be careful: If you get the bracelet you will also have to buy the metal connectors to mount it. The ones in the bracelet are permanently attached:
denisegold
You contact a AP service center and ask for one. Cost is roughy 189.00$ plus tax and shipping. I've got one in XL, waiting on my Vac AP now.
MADRED7
Guys....the gen rubber is from equal quality as the rep one (or the other way around). You buy the gen strap for 190$ (IF you get one of course, some SC make a real fuss on an order like a strap). But as mentioned above, you´ll need a conversion kit and a buckle anyway.....so here is my suggestion: Buy the watch with bracelet AND and additional rubber from your dealer, saves you $$$, time and a real headache! mjmj
Can i add that if you have a slender wrist the bracelet will make the watch look chunky. So if you have say a wrist size of 6.5" or less then I would suggest going the rubber strap.
donerix
I saw pics of the gen strap somewhere and it seems to have a lot rougher texture than the rep rubber - FYI
denisegold
Gen is slightly textured. Have not gotten the rep in my hand yet but when it arrives I'll do a side by side.
