lantis
as usual, the crystal sucks. Would it kill them to get the crystal height right? here's the gen nah.. maybe in v5 they'll get it right, after us buying 2-3x copies
txcollector
nah.. maybe in v5 they'll get it right, after us buying 2-3x copies considering that they still can't get the HBB crystals right, I'm not holding my breath.

OT: hmmm... now that you mentioned it, received the qc pics of the new HBB yesterday: The crystals can't be modded to raise the height? That's the first tell on the new version, I guess. geo1nah2a
Sapphire looks tall and separated from the bezel enough from this angle. Any other pics to share?
Watchmeister
Is the crystal that far off? From that picture the crystal looks taller and appears to have the bevel which makes the crystal stand out both above and away from the case. I'm not sure for the new HBBs, that is the best picture I can show for now. I wasn't really aware of that flaw. It's been shipped today, so the countdown begins and I'll make sure to take proper pictures when it arrives @geo1nah2a I'll post to another topic, I'm thread-jacking already
Shanny
It's a great looking watch, but with quite a few inaccuracies as pointed out previously... I guess you could compare it to PloProf - impractical, but nice design. If they can nail it and fix all the problems in next versions as they did with PloProf it can easily be another hit
maxman
Why so picky? I ordered mine, knowing that some minor flaws will get solved before market-release and all other flaws I can live with. Hey, this is a 340$ rep....great price for the Titanium you get back. Theo Dude, you're going to get called out on those flaws I agree with you, looks like a great rep,not perfect but well done non the less. Let us know your personal take on the watch, cheers Mike

From that picture the crystal looks taller and appears to have the bevel which makes the crystal stand out both above and away from the case. judge for yourself (specially with the bottom right pic from Josh) That's the same problem with all the HBBs. For some unknown reason they order a crystal that's 1-2mm too thin. They put the bevel there which in QC pics gives the illusion the crystal is good but when you get the watch you notice the crystal is almost flushed with the bezel. That's why I had to do a few custom runs of crystals to fix my HBBs. It's even more noticeable when you look at the video. The OEM crystal show a ton of markers reflection on the bevel and that has a very different (expensive) effect in real life.

They take it from an angle that shows the bevel on the crystal but in reality the top of the crystal is flushed with the bezel. Quite a disappointment when I compared with the gen at the AD. The funny part is, it doesn't cost more for the factories to order a crystal that's 1-2mm thicker. It's probably lack of effort/interest from the factories to fix this. Watchmeister
Can't wait to see the real life pics of this watch. I have never understood why the tendency is to have crystals flush with a bezel irrespective of the gen. That wouldn't stop me from buying it. I know someone will put together a run of better quality crystals if the rep is popular. Just have to add that and (it sounds like a relume) to the cost of the rep. MADRED7
My honst opinion on the 4k DIVER...the factory is just lazy to adjust their CNC programms for the DIVER. They might use equal data as for the King Powers but they can easily re-do the sizing and... - add some millimeters to the underlayer of the bezel - add some millimeters to the caseback - add some millimeters to the sandwich case - add some millimeters to the crystal Fingers crossed for the real-release model....should be ready this weekend. MADRED7
mmmmhh....I have to disappoint you and all the others on the fence....the model displayed in the video will be the one they´ll ship out....only the H-valve will be added/updated. So we have to live with the thinner size....anyway, I made my pre-order allready and hope to receive the watch when I´m back from my holidays. txcollector
I'd be very surprised if they would do any kind of case change. They probably have 100's of cases already manufactured and there will be no interest to throw that away. it was very clear they were just waiting for the He valve manufacturer to finish so they can glue it it. rek001
Don't flame me - I think it looks better with the thinner case, the gen is just too big and chunky on the wrist.

I don't think my crystal would work for this model. This is a 47-48mm case while the crystal was made for a 44mm case.

This crystal is most likely much thicker and otherwise has the same dimensions as the BB King (no not the guitarist )

subbiesrock
I'm not a big Hublot fan but that thing looks insanely cool even the name is cool! (oceanographic 4000... Sweet!) P.S. It beats the DSSD by a few hundred meters
