Mnicolini300
I am looking for a rolex smooth polished bezel for a gen datejust build. It can be a good afternarket rep one or original. Please pm me or thread it here if you guys know of a good cheap source. Been finding them on eBay on the 200 dollar range that's to high for me at the moment
jmb
I could machine you one if somebody will cough up the exact dimensions or offer up one to copy... Plus, the bezels will be different heights depending on sapphire or plexi...
Jkay
I was looking at SS, white gold and solid gold aftermarket bezels just recently ... someone here provided the link .. was it at WHO ??
alligoat
I can vouch for Justin. His bezel for my 1016 build which used an old 1601 case worked beautifully. It even passed the WR test at the watchmakers. I would think that LHOOQ could come up with a good set of dimensions. @ Jkay, are you thinking of wholesaleoutlet990? I've seen bezels there for various Rolexes like the 1500 Date, etc.
irolexu
thanks for the responses (mnicolini300 is my other name) water pressure testing wont be an issue as I do not plan on swimming or submerging it under water...and that bezel looks really nice how much was it? lhooq
I was about to say that smooth DJ bezels should be easy to find, but checking eBay has shown me otherwise. I can vouch for Justin. His bezel for my 1016 build which used an old 1601 case worked beautifully. It even passed the WR test at the watchmakers. I would think that LHOOQ could come up with a good set of dimensions. J can easily fabricate any smooth bezel you could think of. Unfortunately, the only gen examples I have on hand is an E.T. and a Doug Flutie. I could put the calipers on those, if you'd like. jmb
I have a gen engine turned and could use it for basic measurements but my only concern would be if the profile shape was the same...
ubiquitous
If I still had this one, I could give you specs, dimensions... 16200 case... Gen bezel, 295 and all that junk... Sorry... Pictures are not great, but maybe it will provide some help on profile shape, height, etc?
Mnicolini300
Ya that is a perfect bezel it also needs to be a tall boy for the acrylic crystal I believe...not sure if I have that backwards
ubiquitous
Here's the profile of a smooth bezel on an acrylic... Bezel came from a 1600...
ubiquitous
BTW, 16200 is a sapphire crystal. 1600 and 16000 are acrylics...
