edgematic1 Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Since the beginning of May I have been discussing a project with one of my dealers. I am a big AP enthousiast and wanted the Montauk Highway to get repped, after all those LE's we saw I thought the MH should be repped as well. Plan was to get this watch ready before summer... After seeing sample dials etc, discussing details such as color codes etc with the dealer the final result is here. Rep factories can't stick to dates and it took quite long before the end result. The watches will be available soon from 1 dealer only. I will update when they are for sale (should be very soon, in the next days), though the stock is limited! Anyhow, you guys do want pics, so here you go, a teaser pic... The rep strap is, ... still a plasticky rep strap. Cheers
edgematic1 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 no pricing yet, I assume the same price as the other ROO's but will update this thread once I have more info
mactower Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 That is very interesting, thanks so much for posting.
ForzaAP Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Good looking watch. The cream color dial looks quite close to gen. Excited to get my hands on one. Thanks for the heads up!
edgematic1 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 Good looking watch. The cream color dial looks quite close to gen. Excited to get my hands on one. Thanks for the heads up! The hardest colour is the blue. The cream color is the same as the safari rep dial.

RickHiC Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Soooooo sick. I loved this watch since it came out but then fell in love again when Lebron was wearing it on the cover GQ or something recently. Anybody know the process of ordering from toro? I sent him a pm on the geek.
edgematic1 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 @ RickHiC, send hem an e-mail as well, his adress is in his signature on Repgeek On accuracy, I've put a shitload of time in this especially regarding the colours etc. All details have been repped (rose gold borders around numerals, subdials, rose gold hands, non-black date window, ...) also the caseback has been copied with very high resolution pics of the genuine piece. Hardest part is the blue color. It will be close This is where we come from (1st sample):
RickHiC Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Order placed. OMG I haven't been this excited about a watch since the a7753 panerais came out.
edgematic1 Posted August 25, 2011 Author Report Posted August 25, 2011 I forgot to mention it, the replica also has a correct series engraving. This is a G-series, the gen runs between G864XX - G867XX, just as the rep does
relaxman Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Great looking watch. There is a very good review of the gen at puristspro. Great read.
scooterboy Posted August 26, 2011 Report Posted August 26, 2011 order placed! this is one i am waiting for! many thanks to toro and edgematic!!!!
