bones
Just finished some experimental pieces. These are hybrid 6200/6538's. Weather is really dull today so pics arn't amazing and trying to capture a domed crystal without reflections is a nightmare. Silix case given gentle ageing, soften edges, dings etc. 8mm Brevet Crown Silix Rivet bracelet Dial given vintage texture (i'll try to get better pictures of the dials) Dials and hands stripped back and re-lumed with W@tchlume vintage Pearl re-shaped and lumed with same vintage lume and given matte topcoat. Insert given light aging but not bleached. Crystal height was shaved down about 2 mm at least to reduce stupid oversize superdome look.

bones
Trying to take a decent picture of the dial texture is proving a pain in the ass.
Nanuq
You might have to pop off the crystal to get a good shot of that.
woof*
Nice! Will these cases take gen size crystals?
ubiquitous
Definitely some cool builds! All around, some great work! Personally, I like the profile of the crowns... Nicely done!

Ephry73
You might have to pop off the crystal to get a good shot of that. That's what she said Bones, These are awesome! Are these the same cases from last month? E
bones
I got Michelle at Silix to make up a few custom pieces. These are two of them. They have a lot of the right pieces, they just tend to be a bit mismatched. The cases are actually a new design from them. Instead of the crystal sitting in a groove it sits on a ledge inside the rehaut. Whether it takes gen sizes im not sure, but considering sternkreutz (sp?) do so many variations of plexi crystals you should have no problem. Ephry73
Like the modern crystal arrangement? E
bones
It's not like Nanuq's photo. I'll get a shot of one of the other cases later and post it. It's a ledge on the inside lip of the rehaut rather than a pressure/snap fit with retaining ring like gen. Like you said, more like the modern cases. Ephry73
Bones, i would love to see the details of the crystal on these. I am placing an order soon, and Michelle mentioned that they don't have the old cases any more. Nanuq, Cannot find if I asked this before, on your macro dial shot, is that dial sitting inside the rehaut, or just underneath? E
Nanuq
Ephry, the dial is captured under the rehaut, but only by the slightest amount.
