username here
any way for that to work? I've got an old school MBW case with an ETA slow-beat movement. Can a gen DW work in this watch?
highoeyazmuhudee
not if its a vintage DW the numbers run the opposite way
w.genzo
if you need a vintage DW (open 6 and 9) you should look for a genuine 3055 dw wich has the same ETA sequence. Edited September 15, 2011 by w.genzo
jmb
Some of these can be modified for use as an "overlay" but none that I know of is a direct "bolt on replacement" for the ETA hour wheel, or am I wrong?
alligoat
You're right J. The rolex datewheel sits inside of the eta DW so you can't swap 'em out. All you can do is overlay.
ubiquitous
A datewheel from a 1556 would work as well for an overlay- The only issue with using datewheels from the DDs (1555/1556/3055/3155) is that the date is slightly more inset on the dial than that of a 1570/3055/3135. So, it will be off center in the date window if you're looking to use one in an an ETA Sport-Date build...
