So I picked up a 16610 in a trade along with a few other watches and I am trying to make heads or tails of it. I am looking for some help figuring out what it is. I got it along with a few other MBW's, but I have been doing research about older MBW subs and am confused about difference between them and TW Best. To add to the confusion there is nothing between the lugs. Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated so I know what it is and what to do with it, lol.

Overhead picture with bezel off.

See if it looks like mine and has no crystal coronet etching.

Slickdick has one too

That is some interesting reading. There are definitly some similarities but mine does have a LEC. It is hard to see and is not noticible unless you look hard. My drilled lug holes are also "off". So to clarify though, this is not gen bezel construction?

No...

At the time I started that thread I thought mine was gen construction too.

It's sorta similar, and better than paperclip but not like a gen. That's why I said overhead pic.

Man I really love the watch but was hoping for gen construction..... oh well probably off to the sale forum.

I was a little disappointed to find that out too, but I pressed on with it. Jmb installed a gen insert, gen crown/tube and redrilled the lugholes. It's a pretty nice watch on it's own. :)
