MAHLER Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 I must say sincerely that these straps are awesome. So if you want a new strap of highest quality for your Pam, I suggest you contact Spiderman, really a nice person and a great craftsman! The Spiderstraps are hand-made, built to last but also they look almost perfect, not only looking at the profile, the glue points, precision cutting of leather, the line of stitch and lengths but also in measures for the lugs case. PeteM Posted October 21, 2011 Report Posted October 21, 2011 I like the straps in terms of build but I really dont like how shiny they look.... what causes that? Oiling? Some sort of Lacquer?

Thank you for your review Mahler's friend, was very kind! The glossy effect is desired in this case, but many of my straps are opaque, have a look here: http://s1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff363/Spider-StrapS/?start=all thanks for looking. cheers

Whats your leather choice for these, VC etc? Can you edge them? Hi Peter, certainly agree that the buckles! especially if they are PreV, but really mean? I use the leather, are usually very good in soft Italian leather calfskin, but I also use different vintage leather that I'm going to buy from flea markets, jackets, old bags, pouches for ammunition, and all I can find ..... the edges to make use of methods that my father taught me and then use the appropriate products.;-) 1
