You can never trust those heavily cropped promotional photos from the dealers. Best is to wait for someone to bite the bullet and buy one for a review.

Having said that, the PAM releases this year have been nothing but fantastic, so this should be good. The movement is not the 2893-2 that's used in the gens though if you are ANAL about those sort of things

Im really excited about this rep...probably In my top three/four favorite Pams. Love the big running sec hand and the numbered bezel on this model.

The tuxedo dial is the cheery on top. :)

I havent a chance to do a side by side yet...but from what I see so far...well done....very well done. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I am sure that it will be very well done. Overall thickness of the watch will something that will stand out given the thickness of the movement used but not many will notice anyway. The datewheel and cyclop magnification looks good but... as mentioned earlier, these promotional pictures count for absolutely nothing.

The gen M series did not have minute markers Maxman. I think only the original B or C series did. The M is kind of a remake.

Thanks...my dumb ass just figured that out. :bangin:

Do you really think the different movement will significantly increase the case thickness? I know they have been using 2836 as a substitute since the first GMT reps came out. Still looking forward to seeing the rep. I was about to build another old school franken but think I will wait to see how good the case, etc.are.

The movement thickness difference is a hair less than 1mm depending on configuration of 2893, I don't think there will be a drastic difference in case height. The rehaut on the gen looks like it's 10 miles deep just as it does on the rep.

That's great news indeed.
