hi forum members, i have a quartz watch but lost the battery. is there any way to determine what battery it needs. there appears to be dozens of watch batteries for some odd reason.

If the watch is a "brand" name/model, the fitted battery will be listed on the manufacturers web site.

If it is a "no name" see if you can see the movement fitted...brand- model, and we will be able to work out what is needed.

If all else fails, and you have a set of calipers, measure the diameter and approx depth of battery needed, and we may be able to sort out what is needed.

And/Or post a photo of the movement.
