watchguy51
I was posting earlier in the week about my 1665 I had just bought. Anyway, I'm home now and got a chance to see it and take some pics today. I'll have to get the lug holes drilled out for sure, but if anyone has comments, or any input on other mods that would be worthwhile, let's hear em. Not sure what the story with the crown is, but to me it looks nice with the proper crimping on the inner side. The crown guards have nice shape to them too, and it looks like the caseback paint was already removed.
Ronin
Looks pretty good. Crown looks gen. Looks like MBW elsewhere. The "pointed A" in SEA is the give-away. Depending how crazy you want to go, drill the lugs and call it a day, or do a dial & lugs and call it a day. Oh, and possibly a different pearl. alligoat
I like what Ronin says. That pointed "A" in Sea Dweller got me though. I have an MBW dial on my PT SD and sure enough the "A" is pointed I had to check a gen pic and sure enough, the "A has a slightly flat top But I still like the MBW dial way more than the dial that came on the PT SD
danielv2000
Is your insert a bluish grey? The color is growing on me.
watchguy51
Yep. I guess the previous owner over bleached it, but I always really liked the faded grey-blue colour anyway. I put it on a navy blue canvas strap to match. Is your insert a bluish grey? The color is growing on me.
