mr1973
Guess you´ve all seen the 'standard' steel version i´ve posted some time ago. Mr. Steinhart now introduced this one: 300 Euros. Best deal for a genuine watch on this planet if you ask me.

Best deal for a genuine watch on this planet if you ask me. I've gone on the site, but there is always and only the gold plated (Grand Marquis Model). I had already PM them when you had presented the SS version, and the answer was : "no we just get a few in SS. but in stock are the limi edition 10micron gold plated" Where your informations comes from ? mr1973
...good info...mabe we can organize a group buy? Maybe we could lower the price even a bit more V: For what i´ve heard in a gen. board, it should be 'real' pvd coated... but better ask Mr. Steinhart himself. XRT
Just be sure that you don't mind devloping a nice callous on your wrist...I hear that the crown digs in due to its' size. It sure is a good looking piece. I wish it had a date function.
eunomians
Interesting watch. I've wondered about those big crowns diggin' in... Cheers
bkdc
Steinhart is having a sale on all its Unitas based watches. They're all 500 dollars.
cosmosblau
Just be sure that you don't mind devloping a nice callous on your wrist...I hear that the crown digs in due to its' size. It sure is a good looking piece. I wish it had a date function. It's true. The crown painfully cuts into your wrist. I have a permanent red callous from it. I bought the SS version from Jon, the Steinhart CEO after I haggled him down to $500. I have to admit I'm a little dissapointed in this watch- quality control is poor, and the design could be better. The dial printing isn't very crisp, the rivets in the strap are crooked, the crystal has no AR, and the Lume isn't really that great- completely dead by the morning. It's about as strong as my 4th gen Omega PO from Trusty. This was my only non-rep watch purchase of the year and ALL of the reps (12) have higher quality than the Steinhart. It has a great look, and I do wear it, but I have higher standards. The biggest mistake is to think that this watch is a bargain.
bkdc
I thought and thought and thought about it. 500 dollars for a genuine Steinhart? Or about the same price and a few hours of work for a fully modded EL Pam 127 with swiss movement? Hmm..... I'll take the rep Pam 127.
