cougar1 Posted February 27, 2012 Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 Here is the I think Sea-gull ST2130: (Or possibly the Hangzhou 6300) ? on cousins, I think it's the sea-gull but their reference numbers are so obscure on that site it's hard to know. My question is anybody use these in place of either the rep eta or clones without issues?....I assume it is a straight swap without any surprises? ETA are too bloody expensive lately these seem to be a better option for dead or dying 2824? All the Ligne numbers etc are equal. Anybody ever try the ST1801 (2892-2 clone)? cougar1 Posted February 27, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 27, 2012 Cheers guys, no problems chou, just handy to know of an alternate source for future reps etc...I've bought and replaced standard swiss eta in reps before but never dealt with these clones directly from parts suppliers rather than from our dealers. They seem to get good feedback. The 2892 clone is also interesting. Swiss parts are getting too dear directly from suppliers like ofrei and cousinsuk these days. I'm looking at using an ST2130 in a DJ and wondered if the hand pins are going to be tall enough since the ETA 2824 are too short without having them changed to a taller set. That's what I was afraid of. I took out a similar movement because I didn't like it although that doesn't look bad at all.
