I don't like the positioning of "Cosmograph".

Also the 6 and 9 areas lack the structure.

Late 70s to mid-80s? That's my guess, based on the font of "DAYTONA" and its distance to the hour subdial.

From 10past, here is a S/N 3.9M. I think that's around the time when the Big Red dials started to appear.

This is what I mean about the distance of the DAYTONA to the subdial, which is noted by Mazzariol.

Early 70s (until 74ish) should not have Daytona written on the dial to my knowledge. There might have been (as always when it comes to vintage Rolex - most certainly has been) an overlap of dial versions, though. There are some early 4mil Daytonas with Sigma Dial around aswell as late 3mills with red writing already.

I'm therefore inclined to go with LHOOQ's guess, mid-late 70s.

The dial that LH shows also has the small font 'Rolex Oyster Cosmograph', whereas the later Olivier dial has the larger font ROC.
