Whatever123 Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Hi there, has someone done a comparison between these two models? Old vs. new "King of Subs"... Cheers Whatever123
danza1812 Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 Nice mid case comparison here. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/tw-case-compared-100197.html
duke1973 Posted April 8, 2012 Report Posted April 8, 2012 rsh did a comparison between the TC and WM9 V1 I believe? He just posted the thread today on RWI or RG?
w.genzo Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 TC, nobody would say WM9v2, it makes more sense to compare TC vs. Etaswiss, like someone already did.
Star69 Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 V1 - TC wins, V3 TC wins - but V2 - if you don't want to drop a gen movement they are equal. the more gen parts you drop on the better they get. cheers, Frank
Whatever123 Posted April 9, 2012 Author Report Posted April 9, 2012 Yes, I'm particularly interested in the V2. And it's not just the general "which one is better" - I'd really like to see a comparative review...
watcher Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 The v2 case is the same pretty much as this tc case but with a higher crown hole.
Whatever123 Posted April 9, 2012 Author Report Posted April 9, 2012 The v2 case is the same pretty much as this tc case but with a higher crown hole. Really? But the crown position is still not perfect on the v2...
watcher Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 The case is the same mould but the crown position is wrong on the v2, it is too low but perfect on the v4(tc).
Whatever123 Posted April 9, 2012 Author Report Posted April 9, 2012 The case is the same mould but the crown position is wrong on the v2, it is too low but perfect on the v4(tc). Ah, I see! Sounded like the TC crown Position was lower before. I can clearly see that the crown sits too low on my v2. But if that is the only advantage of the TC I see no point in exchanging my V2 for a TC.
watcher Posted April 9, 2012 Report Posted April 9, 2012 I agree. If the position does not bother you stick with it.
