www_watch Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 I´m visiting PureTime's album on a regular basis, and he never stops amazing me with his "New Arrival" section. The latest shot on his album: PAM 253 Regatta Have a look at that dial and the rotor engraving is also much nicer compared to earlier versions....

The latest shot on his album: PAM 253 Regatta Have a look at that dial and the rotor engraving is also much nicer compared to earlier versions.... The movement is a lot nicer than the old version. There was a minor improvement in the tachy ring, but it's still not correct. the font is off. The gen has a slighly more vertically compressed, less bold font. The other problem is the 1 on the chrono @ 3 is serif, on the gen it's san-serif. Man - if they fixed those two little problems (and maybe used a better blue paint onthe chrono hand) That would be one of the best pam reps out there.
Devedander Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Damn... I am not really so hot on Pams but that is one slick looking watch... Could definitely be better though... could be on my wrist
okram Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Hey, this improvements are fast! They actually improve while we are talking. Very nice! The glass is still mineral though and the one on the picture has scratches and dust on it.

We'll, if those are the flaws, this is about as good as it gets for a rep. I wish all my reps only had those flaws
Chronus Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Dial looks better... a few more improvements ... the track with the tick marks should not extend all the way to the edge for one.
V Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Beautiful.. I got my 212 when it first came out from Angus Great guy..
Chronus Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Beautiful.. I got my 212 when it first came out from Angus Great guy.. Would you get this more accurate 253 over the 212 if you had a choice now ?
V Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Would you get this more accurate 253 over the 212 if you had a choice now ? NO. I think the 212 is more beautiful and equally inaccurate.
jimbo Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 NO. I think the 212 is more beautiful and equally inaccurate. the blue hand is dead giveaway... should be brighter. on the other hand, the odds of running into this in the real world is next to nil.
azgjav Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 aaaaaaaaaaargh! dammit! i've only just got a swiss 253...
watchlover321 Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 What's the movement on this? new asian 7750?
okram Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 What's the movement on this? new asian 7750? It looks like a new 7750. Can anyone comment on a new hubnail dial? Is it now closer to original?
Chronus Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I would think it would be the same hobnail dial as the PAM028 used, with the extra done on top.
drop Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Angus shared that this is the new asian 7750. Nice improvement over the last version, thanks for posting it.
