He was willing to go if i really didn't want to miss it ( incrediable how kind he is for his dad ) but he wasn't enthousiastic so i have to pass for this gtg. Flights are only c.£50 but add in the travel at the other end getting to and from a good friend's house that kindly offered to put me up (£40-60), the food (£50?), the drink (£50+?), odds and ends while over away... This price will include two glasses of wine and coffee. The menu has not yet been set as he and his chefs will prepare something special for us with the nicest available local ingredients of the season. He will let me know more about a week ahead..
