Do the current SMP Chronos accept a gen bezel?

Been wanting to do a franken SMP Chrono, but want a stainless bezel instead of blue. If I can find a good deal, I'd just do the whole bezel swap. I seem to remember reading they would accept a gen bezel. Any ideas?

I'm sure I read reports also of the gen bezel going straight on, but can't find them now so don't quote me on that, definitely the insert mod has been done many times, must ask Omega_guy, he did a franken chrono recently.

I remember some member that had been offered a gen bezel+insert by some other member of the forum...

Be careful thus, because sometimes the tolerancies are very small, and installing gen. parts requires some special modifications.

I believe i have seen others who put a gen bezel on their Chronos - atleast the insert.

I know that there have been different variations/versions of the chrono models - so not sure if the case construction changed over the years.

This is my dilemma... I want to build a white dial SMPC so I'll need to change for the stainless bezel. I'm really not excited about tearing apart a gen bezel just for the insert. :-(

I did it. It fits straight on but be careful when removing the old not damage the case. I also fitted a genuine crystal which has the same part number as bond sea master. The crystal made a big difference too but sits slightly higher as it is marginally thicker than a rep crystal. You could always get the rep glass ar coated on the inside as per gen but clarity is always poorer on rep sapphire!
