Noob Factory PAM127E Delayed Yet Again....

According to a post on July 01, 2012 by Angus (PureTime), the production of the noob factory PAM127E Fiddy is currently being delayed yet again; this time due to a defect in the dials for this rep. Apparently all of the latest run of the dials are defective, and will need to be remanufactured, causing an indeterminate delay in the production of the noob Fiddy -- again. I know this is a quality rep, but the back order time on these things is getting to be about the same as that for a Bentley (yes, the car; not the rep). I don't know about the rest of you who are on back order for this rep, but I'm going to hold my breath until this thing is resolved once and for all!

If the Noob-Factory is just looking for an excuse to charge more $$$ for the PAM127, then I wish they would just do so and stop making excuses every other week as to why they aren't being produced. First, something about the domed crystals; now, the dials are screwed up.... what's next? Either get them made, and get them made right, and in a timely fashion sufficient to meed customer demand; OR, stop production indefinitely until you can work out all of the production bugs; OR, just stop making them altogether. It's beginning to seem to me that the noob factory simply bit of more than they could chew with the undertaking of the new rep requirements for this latest version of the PAM127 and that they have been trying to scramble on the fly to get a few of these made here and there when they have the time to spare from their other rep productions. Anyway, I know this is a hobby that requires lots, and lots, and lots of patience; HOWEVER, since they are not giving these things away for FREE, I think we have the right as customers to complain now and again when it is clearly warranted. So stand up fellow consumers and let the noob factory know that you want your watch made in a timely fashion, especially since many of us have already paid in full for them months ago. Whew! Glad I finally got all that off my chest! :)

Is this a new version f the127 or just issues making the one that's been available?

This is still the same version that was initially released in Late February/Early March. To the best of my knowledge, the noob factory has just been having a variety of in-house production problems/issues with this rep and therefore they have not been able to make their supply meet the market demand for this rep. At least, those are the most popular rumors so far. Too bad, too. I haven't heard any negative feedback about the rep itself from those who have purchased and received one -- customers seem to be very happy with the product they've been receiving.

As a point of information. We used to get no intelligence on upcoming models. We asked to be in on comming soon. That naturally leads to dealers making the best of it with pre-orders.

Second. We used to get the release and 2 months later updated ones. So, the fact they Arent just shipping is of a major benefit.

Sit back and enjoy the ride. Don't ride the factory, they, apparently are trying not to put out bad [censored]. Blame your dealer for stirring the pot while the soup is cold.

Frankly you can't trust anything anyone says in china :) its run on more bs than politics.

Here's the latest word about the noob-factory PAM 127's from a major dealer: "No point pre ordering when the maker cannot produced and keep circulating back out the earlier rejected stocks. Lume is also not superlume as claimed .. I suggest you put a hold on this watch unless Noob sort out their messy supplies problems."

Some of you guys act like these factories are doing us -- the customers -- some kind of favor. They are in this business for one reason and one reason only -- to make money. Our relationship with them is strictly business. When you buy something, you have the right to have certain reasonable expectations, and to make those expectations known. As long as you are willing to settle for less, then that is exactly what you will get -- LESS. Do you suppose these "factories" are as patient with their sweatshop employees as we are expected to be with them? I really doubt it. For those of you who are genuinely satisfied with second-rate service and second-rate products, I would love to do business with you all the time.

I bet this quote came from Josh or Andrew since they have a beef with the Noob factory ;)

You make it sound almost like counterfeiting luxury items is an honest business.

I just received an email this morning (Wednesday, July 11, 2012) from TimesShops.net informing me that they have the Noob-Factory PAM127 in-stock and ready for immediate shipment (with limited stock). If this is true, do you think there 127's are from a "fresh"/"new" release from the factory; OR, "old" stock from a previous release from the n-factory? According to some sources, one of the alleged problems with the n-factory production and release of the 127's is that they are attempting to re-release "old" stock of the 127 that had some defects (most notably, a distortion problem with the domed crystals). Anyway, it just really makes me curious as to what is really going on with the n-factory 127. Oddly, they don't seem to have nearly as many problems with the 217? Strange.

  • 3 weeks later...

I paid for mine about 3 months ago with Andrew.. I am still waiting..

I don't want to imply anything negative about Andrew since he is a great dealer and my dealing with him have been very satisfactory. However, I don't think he is the go to person for Noob watches (Andrew has a stronger relationship with H than Noob).

I suggest you consider Torobravo as an alternate source for the Fiddy. The backorder was 3 weeks for me and the delivery time from approval of QC to watch in hand is 5 days.

Toro's communication style is different from Andrew. TB is curt and to the point...not a bad thing, but I got spoiled with Andrew.
